I nearly choked on me spuds, tv3 news had a piece on the Hadron Collider. The woman actually said Hadron 'Colander'. Jesus christ, and it was pre-recorded.
eating me dinner, posting a post on me phone, we need twitter why?
Whenever I hear things like that on TV or the radio I sometimes wonder if it's done on purpose, like an in-joke reference or perhaps a dare from their colleagues.

The TV3 bints really don't have a clue when it comes to what they're reading out.
My personal annoyance is when they pronounce Tee-shuck, tHee-shuck.
I'm not aware of any words in Irish that have a th pronunciation.
Isn't it actually pronounced "teesh-ach" in Irish though? With "taois" part as one single syllable.
Personally, I always pronounce it "Prime Minister".
Haha, I heard the colander bit too and was amazed they let that through. Crazy ignorance.
It's "teeshuck" :)

Oh, and I'll accept whatever either of you say about Irish pronunciations... I was never very good at foreign languages :)
