So the iPhone is finally on display. I can't say I share "everyones" view on its "beauty", to be honest it looks like some kind of PSP/Motorola bastard phone. It's thin but fairly monsterous in height and width.
Touchscreen on a mobile? Its been done, it didnt work, most people like tactile responce. I write half of my text messages without looking at the phone, I'm not sure how I, or blind people, will find it.
I won't dismiss it completely before its released though. I'm not mad about its looks, but the features seem ok and maybe Apple will do something magic with the touchscreen. At the very least I hope it will kill off those horrible Motorolas, at best, i hope it will bankrupt Apple.
People shouldnt cum in their trousers until its on sale. As is, its just vapour-ware and as such, totally iShit!

Clunky, expensive, poor battery life, no 3G but will still fly off the shelves like hot snot. I wonder if you leave this in your pocket will it scratch and scuff as easily as an iPod.

It looks very nice but the touch screen is my main doubt. I have enough trouble with greasy finger or cheek marks on my N73, let alone a whopping great screen like that.
Hats off to them for the design and the proposed spec, but let's wait till it gets to the already bloated UK phone arena at the end of the year, by which time companies like Nokia will have already released the N95 and a few others too. I'd like to see how many they sell at £300+ a pop with only one network provider to choose from !
Don't forget the Linux based smartphone due later this year too.

It took Apple how long to come up with one phone? Nokia come out with a new phone everyday, not that it will matter of course, as Robert pointed out. Shitty iPod's sell because cretins listen to music, cretin music! Just as cretins make phone calls.
Lack of 3G wouldnt bother me so much, 2 years ago. A 2 megapixel phone wouldnt bother me, a year ago. I would never buy a phone tied to a single network provider, not 4 years ago, not ever!
The next phone I buy will be the N95, if I'm buying one at all.

I'm not back tracking at all. I still think the iPhone (If we're still allowed to call it that) looks a very attractive prospect, however I reserve judgement on anything until I have had a play with it and that's not going to happen for a long while.
The lack of 3G is strange, especially here in Europe but maybe they'll address that. The big screen looks great but the greasy paw prints would annoy me. But Apple may have been clever enough to think of that and they may have tucked away an auto squeegy to clean the screen for you !!
I'm a huge Nokia fan. I won't even consider another phone manufacturer at the moment. But who knows, come Q4 this year, that all may change. The iPhone might just be a fuckin' revelation.
But unlike the net trolling geek fanboys we so often see, I reserve all judgement until I use one.
